About This CharacterThis sexy fighting female first appeared in the video game Street Fighter EX Plus Alpha, then in the Arika-developed game Fighting Layer which NAMCO released in arcades.  She isn't a widely used character, but does have a cult-following and I always liked her.  One reason I like her is because of the name.  Blair is not a very common name.  Another reason is that she's kinky in an odd sort of way.  She's very bosomy with muscular thighs, almost Amazonian.  Her wild blue hair is very punk.  And you've got to love that barely-there outfit!  In appearance, she looks more like a fighter than a lot of female characters in fighting games.

The EX series of Street Fighter was developed by Japanese video game company Arika.  It was the first time the popular Capcom-made games were spun off into a 3D version.  The game in which Blair Dame appears, "Street Fighter EX Plus Alpha", is third in the series.  To date, the games released in the Street Fighter EX series are:

Street Fighter EX
Street Fighter EX +
Street Fighter EX + Alpha
Street Fighter EX2
Street Fighter EX2 +
Street Fighter EX3

The story given to the Blair Dame character is interesting.  She comes from a wealthy European family.  Details on this are vague.  The country of origin is never given.  Some people believe she is meant to be from Spain, given her theme music and appearance of her stage.  I've read that someone thought she was French.  At any rate, Blair Dame lived a very sheltered life with little social exposure.  When her best friend Pullum Purna (a playable character) decided to seek revenge for her grandfather's death in Shadaloo, Blair decided to tag along.  Blair convinced Pullum Purna that with Pullum's bodyguard Darun Mister (also a playable character) and her own incredible martial arts skills that everything would be fine.

We also know that Blair Dame has a butler named Sebastian.  Her fighting style is not clearly defined.  It's a combination of self defense, grab, and wrestling.  Some think it's similar to the style of savate.  The only thing I don't like is the fact that, like all characters in Street Fighter, Blair's dialogue is in the Japanese language.  It would be nice to hear her in English.  Besides that, the sound of her voice doesn't match her look.  Her voice sounds really girly and squeaky.  I'd imagine Blair Dame having a deeper, more sultry voice.

Blair Dame does not appear in any of the EX games after this.  Her sister Sharon takes her place in EX2 and EX3.

History:  Blair Dame is one of the very few characters in the Street Fighter games that is NOT owned by Capcom.  Instead, she is a property of Arika, designer of the Street Fighter EX series.  It is said that this is probably the reason she has not been used in subsequent Street Fighter games.  When Blair Dame later appeared in Arika's "Fighting Layer" arcade game, it was marketed by NAMCO.
