I am DESPERATE for the assistance of a fellow SQOTJ fan who can help me with this episode listing, CONTACT ME.  I'm pretty sure the dates are alright, but I am fairly sure the episodes were not made in alphabetical order.  I've been using my own knowledge and knowledge of vague websites on the Internet to help me.  Also, were there 25 episodes or 26?  I've done the best I can, but you must understand that this is an extremely rare TV show and information is scarce.  It's considered "lost" but I hope the attention I'm giving it will make it "found" again.

About This Episode:  Bull Kendall and his two buddies break out of a jungle prison.  Bull has two objectives.  One, he wants to kill Sheena for putting him there.  Two, he wants to grab a jar full of gems in a native village.  He has Turpin, the hypnotist of the group, hypnotize his wife Helen Kendall into thinking she is a rival spirit queen to Sheena.  The "Queen" tells them the dumping of lime into the river, which killed the fish, is Sheena's work.  It's quite a situation, but our girl Sheena settles everything out in less than half-an-hour.  What a woman!

Buddy Baer (credited as Buddy Bear in this episode) is funny as Bull Kendall.  For some reason he's leader of this criminal trio.  Why is unclear, even to him.  He's the biggest and the meanest, but the dumbest, too.  Turpin is the hypnotist.  Rafik, the black guy, is the one that knows all about how to fool the native people.  Bull really doesn't bring anything to the table.  This goes to show how dumb the other guys are for following him.  What I like about the Sheena show is that they didn't make its bad guys too freakishly terrifying.  On occasion, they would be funny.  Like this episode shows.

Buddy Baer Biography
Born June 11, 1915 Omaha, Nebraska, USA
Died July 18, 1986 Martinez, California, USA

Giant-sized brother of heavyweight-prizefighter-turned-actor Max Baer.  Was a boxer-turned-actor himself.  Uncle of Max Baer, Jr. aka Jethro Bodine of TVs "The Beverly Hillbillies."  Buddy Baer made quite a career for himself in acting typically playing heavies.

Real name was Jacob Henry Baer.  He was also a good baritone singer.  Him and his wife would often go to piano bars where she would play piano as he sang.  Buddy was younger than brother Max.  He stood 6 feet 5 inches tall (Ha!  I got him beat on that one!).

John Stevenson Lang (just John Lang in the credits) is also funny as Turpin.  He's the squirrely little Englishman who happens to have a hypnotist talent from his earlier days in the theater.

I don't know much about this man, but would like to know more.  If you know more, please CONTACT ME.

Despite a clear, comedic acting talent, Lang's film career petered out in the early 1960s.

Virgil Richardson plays Rafik.  Unlike his role in the episode "Eyes of the Idol" where his character is always smiling, this role shows him always scowling.  He's the most maniacal of the three bandits and seems to enjoy the whole idea of getting people killed the best.

Had a bit more of a filmed acting career than the IMDB shows, but basically limited to African native roles.  He's likable as a villain or hero.  Did a lot of work in Tarzan shows.

Roxanne Reed plays Helen Kendall, Bull's wife.  She is a nice lady who sells perfume and for some reason sent money to Bull while in prison, despite the fact of how mean he was to her.  After escaping, he punches Helen out (by accident), but kidnaps her nonetheless so Turpin can entrance her as the "Queen of the Night."  Reed is an attractive, likable actress.

It just doesn't seem right to me that she didn't have more of a filmed career.  She was pretty enough, and certainly a likable presence.  I know of only one other credit for her, as Island Woman in "The Women of Pitcairn Island" film from 1956.  If you are one who knows anything about this lady, help me give her a more fitting tribute.
