About
This Series:
Released in 2002. McDonald's official name for this toy series is
"Walt Disney World 100 Years of Magic". It has also been called
"100 Years of Disney" and "Disney 100 Years of Magic". This huge
promotion ran from March 8-April 4, 2002. It celebrated 100 years
since the birth of Walt Disney. There were actually 100 different
figures in this series, and a set of four commemorative glasses.
Figures were made of characters both old and new. The name of the
series is misleading, as it is NOT the 100th anniversary of Walt Disney
World. Far from it. But Walt Disney World is commonly used
by the company in all of their special promotions, especially those
using the classic characters from shorts and films (like Mickey Mouse
and gang, Snow White, Pinocchio, etc.).
Featured Toys:
Name- Steamboat Willie
About- Stands 4"
tall. Mickey Mouse appears a few times in this series of
figures. "Steamboat Willie" is, of course, based on Mickey's
first cartoon appearance way back in 1928.

Name- Uncle Scrooge
About- Stands 3.5"
tall. Unlike most of Disney's early characters, Uncle Scrooge
McDuck made his debut in comics, back in 1947, THEN was put into
animated form. Uncle Scrooge made his first cartoon in 1967 with
the short, "Uncle Scrooge & Money" (he did, however, make a brief
cameo appearance some years earlier on TVs "The Mickey Mouse Club").
