From The Webmaster:
Quite a lot of updates for this
month, and two new Departments! Check out Polar
Blair's Den Remembers and Quotes.
I didn't get as much done with the Music Department as I wanted to, but
I did work up a feature for David Bowie. Although I'm not a great
David Bowie fan, I do like some of his really early stuff, and a few
songs from his popular period. Believe it or not, he has some
standout songs. Although I do like to keep most of my upcoming
changes a surprise, I will tell you that I have a Cream feature coming
in Music. You know Cream. Eric Clapton was the guitarist,
and they had huge hits like "Sunshine of Your Love" and "White Room".
I added quite a bit to the Cartoons Department. This month saw a
lot of entries for superhero cartoons. When this Department
becomes fully established, it will feature a lot more of the classic,
funny characters like those from Disney, Hanna-Barbera, Looney Tunes,
Terrytoons, Walter Lantz, and so forth.
The Movies Department also received a ton of updates, as well as
Actors/Actresses/Performers. One thing I wanted to do all around
with every Department I worked with this month was add new pictures, so
you'll find LOTS of them. If you're one of those that likes the
website mainly for the pictures, you won't be disappointed!
It's been quite a month! Besides the website, I've been doing a
lot of work with the business end of Polar Blair's Den, and I've been
helping my mother with her company, Emmy Lou Candles. I'm also
helping other people make their way in the business and/or
entertainment worlds. It's all fun, and I try to answer e-mails
as fast as I can keep up!
Have a great month! Watch out for trick-or-treaters this
Halloween. They're small, quick, and don't know where they're
going most of the time so it's important to look for them when you're
driving.
Stan
Brock- NEW FEATURE! He is one of the most awesome,
real-life personalities you'll ever see! Stan's known to most
people as a host on TVs "Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom" nature show,
but you might me surprised just how much else he has going for him.
Elizabeth
Campbell- Many new photos of the sexy American actress who
was predominately in Mexican films.
Phyllis
Coates- New photos.
Yvonne
Craig- New photo.
Gail Davis-
New photos of Gail as TV's Annie Oakley!
Rita
Hayworth- Lots of new photos! Rita's one of those
personalities I've
always liked a lot, but for some reason I've never gotten around to
building up her feature in Polar Blair's Den. Go figure!
You can expect a lot of additions in the months ahead.
Martha
Hyer- New photo.
Arthur
Lake- New photo.
Jayne
Mansfield- Many new photos of Jayne Mansfield, her fabulous
home The Pink Palace, various
items of memorabilia, even her grave! In the months ahead, I'll
be adding lots of little information and other neat things to her
feature.
Maura
Monti- NEW FEATURE! The sexy, Italian-born actress who
appeared in many Mexican films. One of her most popular efforts
is the superheroine flick, "The Batwoman" (1968). This feature is
pretty sparse now, but will expand. One thing you'll see is a
picture of Maura Monti on a rare magazine cover!
Quinn
O'Hara-

visit her on the Facebook website. Please send her a message when
you make the friend request so she knows it's not a spammer.
Also, join Quinn's Fan Page on Facebook and let the world know you're a
Quinn fan!
In addition to that, click on the cover of Quinn's
new book, "Copper & the Great JoJo Mystery", to learn more about
how you can buy this adorable book for pet lovers! Packed with
photos of the authors' real-life pets! It's a charming,
light-hearted adventure tale based on the personalities of Quinn's (and
my own) beloved little four-legged friends!
Lorena
Valezquez- New photo of the lovely Mexican actress! Feature
expanded!

most interesting clothes for small dogs. "Go Green Doggie

What's Next?:
Wasn't this month enough?! Whad'ya want from
me?!
Just kidding! I love, love, LOVE adding to and
improving Polar Blair's Den. And I look forward to reading
e-mails from my visitors.
I'm planning some updates for Cartoons and
Music. I've also got some other things in mind, so keep a look
out. During the course of this month, and before the next
newsletter, I'll add a few fun things to the website for Halloween.
Keep cool,
"Polar" Blair Whipple
