The first three live-action "Spider-Man" films in one Blu-Ray set!

Spider-Man (2002):  I enjoy this movie!  It's pretty much faithful to the comics with a few exceptions.  I feel it's always better to change some things when making an adaptation.  Fortunately, they didn't make any bad changes that would ruin the character or even worse, make this a bad show.  The casting was very good.  Tobey Macguire is a good actor.  Very likeable.  You can empathize with him.  The action and special effects scenes are dazzling.  And his costume looks just like it's supposed to!  This is another plus.  I don't know about you, but I get tired of seeing Batman movies where he has a black costume instead of the blue and gray, or the X-Men movies where they don't even have costumes...just uniforms.  The fact that Spider-Man looks like Spider-Man is a strong plus for this movie.

The only complaint I have about this movie is that it tends to be a tad too depressing at times.  They overstate the fact that Peter Parker's (Spider-Man) life is complicated.  That pretty much goes without saying.  And the whole love thing between Peter and Mary Jane...doesn't need to be for a superhero action movie.  Either they go out or don't.  Don't make a soap opera out of it.

Spider-Man

Spider-Man fights the Green Goblin!  Only in this movie, the Green Goblin is a bit more high-tech than in the comics.  He has a metal helmet instead of a hood.  Body armor, too.  His throwing bombs are not shaped like pumpkins, but they do pack more of a punch.  These bombs are incendiary, and can turn people to ashes in the blink of an eye!  A thrilling concept and worth watching!
