Blade II
(2002): Blade teams up with vampires to fight a monster
that feeds upon humans AND vampires. Of the three "Blade" movies
made at the time of this writing (2005), this is by far the most
violent and nastiest of them all. There is a lot of mutilation in
this film. Be warned if you're the faint-of-heart type.
Blade finds Whistler earlier in the picture and brings him back to
health. It's actually good to see this character again. The
team of vampires are all very interesting character concepts and
personalities. Each one is distinctive. None of them blend
into the crowd. Dr. Karen Jenson, from the first movie, is
completely gone without explanation. She served so much
importance in the first film that it's hard to understand why she
wasn't used somewhat in this film. It doesn't ruin the movie, but
if you've seen the first one you might just miss her.
This movie is even better than the first because the characters are so much more visually appealing. After all, these are character-driven stories. It's good for movies like this to have interesting characters to look at. The next Blade movie is better yet! Read on and find out more!
