Fun Facts:

The tolling of bells has its origins during Pagan Winter festivals. It was believed the sound would drive away evil spirits.
Much later, bells were rung to announce the birth of the messiah Jesus Christ.
In early times, musical instruments were not affordable for many people, so bells became a popular substitute during the festive Christmas season. Bells were small and easy to take to church or for caroling.
