As far as I know there were only two mugs in this series: Muddlemore & Boo from "The Funky Phantom", and "Josie & the Pussycats". Both plastic mugs were 4.25" tall. "The Funky Phantom" mug was yellow; "Josie & the Pussycats" was blue.
From what I've learned, I do believe Safeguard Soap was the ONLY Procter & Gamble product that offered these mugs. At that time, both of these cartoon series were fledgling. "Josie & the Pussycats", of course, met with greater fame. "The Funky Phantom" lasted only one season and was little more than a ripoff of "Scooby-Doo", another Hanna-Barbera property. Funky Phantom merchandise is limited. The biggest thing Funky Phantom ever did was a 13-issue comic book series from Gold Key.
This style of plastic mug had been used for Procter & Gamble promotions for a number of years before and after this promotion. For example, six such mugs of characters from the "Pogo" comic strip were released in 1969.
