About This
Series:
I love the whole idea of this series, even the name of it. "Web
of Spider-Man" sounds cool. It would make a great name for a
movie. The series was created to be a bit more special than the
standard titles. It was printed on better paper, the artwork was
real slick, and the cover price was a bit higher. The stories,
however, were the same style as anything else Spider-Man. The
production of the mag was just a bit nicer.
Issues:
#113: June,
1994. Nothing too special about this issue, but Spider-Man is
teamed up with Gambit and Black Cat. Black Cat is cool, as
always, but I was never overly thrilled with Gambit. He's not a
bad character, just doesn't have that "oomph" to make him cool like
Wolverine or a lot of other heroes. First of all, his costume
kind of sucks. But that's my opinion. Still makes for a
great story.
