About This
Series:
Marvel was pretty
smart to come out with this series. I think they had to have been
the first comic publisher to do anything like this. It's not so
much a comic as it is a magazine. This magazine tells the history
of the Marvel Universe, using panels from the actual comics and various
other illustrations.
Buying the back issues of the comics discussed in
each issue of Marvel Saga can be both expensive and unnecessary.
Marvel Saga recaps it nicely, and gives all the highlights. This
series is ideal for anyone introducing themselves to Marvel Comics, or
any longtime enthusiast that just wants to read a concise history.
Issues:
#11: October,
1986. This issue talks about the original X-Men, and their first
battle together. Also details the origin of Molecule Man, one of
the Fantastic Four's greatest foes. We learn the story behind
Iron Man's first red-and-gold suit that debuted in December of
1963. Also told are events in the sagas of The Avengers, The
Fantastic Four, Hulk, Spider-Man, and Thor. More Marvel
characters than you can shake a stick at! Specific comic issues
