About This Series:

This was cool.  I always liked the character idea of Daredevil, but I never followed his comics too faithfully.  You can only do so much with Daredevil.  It's not like he had a never-ending arsenal of built-in plot devices like Spider-Man.  There are few really momentous Daredevil stories ever made; this is one of them.

The character of Deadpool is a good pairing for Daredevil.  Deadpool is an assassin that's trying to go straight.  He started out in Marvel's mutant comics as a straight-ahead villain and proved so popular with readers that he was made into one of the "bad boy" heroes.  I never liked Marvel's mutant comics, but I love the Deadpool character!  He has quite a sense of humor (like early Spider-Man) and is fiercely competent at what he does.

Together, Daredevil and Deadpool team up to stop Typhoid Mary and her murderous rampage.  This is a witty, action-filled adventure that ends on a good note.

Issues:

#11997.  Daredevil finds out something about Typhoid Mary that he never knew.  Years ago, while first avenging his father's death, Matt Murdock (not yet Daredevil), accidentally pushed a hooker through a window.  That hooker would become Typhoid Mary, the deranged assassin with a strong hatred for men.  This was the event that finally steered her on the path of evil, and she blames Daredevil for all her wrongdoing.  It was only recently that Typhoid Mary first realized it was Matt that pushed her through the window on that fateful day.

Deadpool actually set up Typhoid Mary's escape from the sanitarium so Mary could face her demons.  He NEVER anticipated Mary to try to kill anyone but Daredevil.  He wasn't even going to allow Daredevil to be killed, although no one but Deadpool knew that until the end.  Mary ended up killing a bunch of people who "did her wrong" and proved quite difficult for the two heroes to stop.

Mary and Deadpool are, actually, somewhat of a couple and Deadpool is trying to help her overcome her mental problems.  When Mary is finally captured, it looks like there was a breakthrough.
