This was a
digest-size comic that featured stories of Disney's then-popular
afternoon TV cartoons, including Chip 'n' Dale Rescue Rangers,
Ducktales, and Talespin! I love this cover because you rarely see
all of these characters together.
Disney's Comics in 3-D #1
This came bagged with a pair of 3-D glasses. It was a cute
gimmick, but I never saw the thrill in 3-D comics. There was a
resurgence of popularity in 3-D comics in the late 1980s through
1994. Well, publishers kept putting them out, anyway. They
never caught on TOO wild. They're not in color, and if you lose
the 3-D glasses you're scuttled. Plus, they're more expensive
than color comics you can read casually.
Disney's Darkwing Duck
(Limited Series) #1-4
Based on the TV cartoon series, this 4-issue limited series is an
adaptation the pilot episode where Darkwing meets Goslin, his eventual
adopted daughter. On the cover of issue #1, Darkwing is shown
without a mask in the art or in the upper left logo. Why was this
done? If anyone knows, please CONTACT ME.
