Archie Comics

I always
enjoyed this series, and
wish it would be brought back. It's all the characters from the
standard Archie comics, put in the year 3000! So it's kind of
like Archie meets the Jetsons. And it certainly preceded the
"Futurama" animated TV series, coincidentally set in the year
3000. Archie comics, as a rule, are usually pretty dull and
repetitive, but this series was really, really fun and creative, bright
and colorful. This was a remarkable way for the creators to take
familiar characters and place them in more interesting situations.
Hanna-Barbera Presents #1

In the early
1990s, Archie Comics was
licensed to release Hanna-Barbera comics. I liked how they paired
Atom Ant and Secret Squirrel in this issue.
Scooby-Doo #1

Scooby-Doo is
better as a comic than
as a cartoon. The characters and stories are perfect for
adventure comics. In cartoons, I'd rather laugh. So I was
naturally thrilled when I heard they were releasing this title.
And on the cover, we see my favorite, the pint-sized pup Scrappy Doo!
