This series is
based on the film Godzilla
(1984). It was originally published in Japan by Shogakukan,
Inc. This is the English version. I don't care for the
manga look to the human characters, but it's still a good comic.
The story is really about Godzilla and the other monsters, so I can
ignore the manga.

1998. Why, oh why, is there absolutely no Godzilla in this
issue? At least he's on the cover. The bright thing to do
would have been to make this first issue a double-sized issue so at
least there would have been some Godzilla in it. I think a lot of
readers, after reading this first issue, were probably turned off and
didn't finish the series. Still a good comic story, but it was
missing the G-man!
