About This
Series:
This is a follow-up to the Marvel publication, "Daredevil/Shi- Blind
Faith". It is simply a crossover
comic featuring the sexy Japanese heroine Shi, from the Crusade
publisher, and the blind martial artist Daredevil, from Marvel
Comics. This "first issue" is really just a continuation of a
story started in another comic, the #1 factor used to appeal to
collectors.
This was a pretty good superhero comic. I'm
not a great fan of the Shi comics, although I like the character.
She's kinky enough, and a capable heroine, but usually not so
interesting in comics. Marvel's Daredevil was a great character
to put her with. He, too, is a martial artist. They start
out at odds, but ultimately end as allies.
Issues:
Issue #1: January
1997. Shi is, at first, brainwashed to fight Daredevil by the
Makoto Clan, a renegade sect of Daredevil's enemies, the evil group of
ninjas known as "The Hand". Once that's all cleared up, Shi and
Daredevil team up to take down the Makoto Clan. The artwork is
great and I enjoyed the story. Shi is definitely a sexy, likable
character. The whole thing between Shi and Daredevil, though, is
very similar to the relationship between Daredevil and Elektra in
Marvel Comics' titles. I just really enjoyed this appearance of
Shi! It's a great comic for Daredevil fans, too!
