History of Porky Pig:
Porky Pig started his
lengthy career in cartoons as a minor character in 1935's "I Haven't
Got a Hat". His recital of "The Midnight Ride of Paul Revere" was
so well-received by audiences that he was brought back into more
cartoons and became the first real cartoon star for Warner
Brothers. He looked quite different then in his first appearance
as directed by Isadore "Friz" Freleng. Later on, director Bob
Clampett took over the character and made him like we all know
him today.
The original Porky Pig! His first
appearance in 1935's "I Haven't Got a Hat".
