Listed above are just some of the many shows this intriguing character has been a part of over the years.  Elvira is extremely unique because she combines scary, sexy, and funny all in one persona!  This is very difficult to do and I've never seen this combination of personality traits in any other film heroine.  Of course, Elvira is the horror-movie hostess who came into prominence with the "Movie Macabre" TV series.  Her popularity was such that she became the stuff of TV commercials, movie cameos, and finally, in 1988, her first movie "Elvira, Mistress of the Dark".  If you ever see this movie and are already an Elvira fan, you'll fall in love with it!  It's the perfect vehicle for Cassandra Peterson's character.  The "Elvira" movie is definitely its own type of film, but also a send-up of classic horror movies.  And because you see Elvira interacting with normal people, it also has that "Addams Family" and "Munsters" type of appeal.  Years later, in 2001, Elvira came back with another movie...this time set in 1800s Europe instead of modern day.  This is a wonderfully entertaining movie although I miss her cool car from the first film.  She doesn't seem to have aged and looks as incredible as ever!  Always engaging and certainly interesting, Elvira is one of my favorite film heroines!  Visit Elvira's website!
