You'd be surprised how many people remember the
Janet Trego
character. She never really did much, but she was nice and pretty
and you kind of expected her to pop up from time to time. As Mr.
Drysdale gave Ms. Hathaway a hard time, Ms. Hathaway gave underling
secretary Ms. Trego a hard time. Jane Hathaway was always so nice
that she usually felt the effects of the Clampetts misadventures, so
she needed someone to occasionally pass her frustrations onto.
That pretty much sums up the importance of the Janet Trego character in
the series.
