Lisa Davis
played "Diana Davis" aka "Diana Diane"
episodes:
"Jethro Goes to School" November 14, 1962
"Jethro's Graduation" June 10, 1964
Although she didn't have the biggest role for
a Beverly Hillbillies beauty, it's amazing to me how she stays in your
mind when you think of the people at Jethro's school. She only
had two appearances on the show, and was lucky enough to be able to
play the same character...two years apart! My information on Ms.
Davis is vague, so if you know anything please CONTACT ME.
She's a very charming actress who I believe is English, but in the
Hillbillies it seems she's playing a French character. Basically,
she's the attractive young assistant to the lady who runs Jethro's
school. Her second appearance had her playing a bigger part,
tricking Jethro with her feminine ways in order to set his wristwatch
back so he misses his own graduation; there's quite a story to it, but
you get the idea. But afterwards, we also see that she must
actually have a crush on the twenty-something 6th grader...which is
funny, especially since she is supposed to be so sophisticated.
Ms. Davis was in movies and television from 1955 to
1966. Perhaps her most prominent roles were those of Miss Jenkins
in "The George Burns Show" from 1958-1959 and the voice of Anita in the
animated Disney film "101 Dalmatians" in 1961.
