Biography:
Was sometimes credited as Shawn Smith.
Shirley Patterson was a real knockout actress who appeared in many
movies and a few
TV shows from 1942 to 1958. One of the last things she did, and
one of my top favorite performances of hers, was in an episode of "The
Life and Legend of Wyatt Earp". She played the character of
Blanche Elliott in the episode "Four" on May 27, 1958. Her
character in this show was very
interesting. She was sheltering her outlaw ex-boyfriend, but at
the same time tried to keep Wyatt Earp from killing him.
Blanche would switch from nice to forceful. She could definitely
take care of herself. I urge all of you to catch her performances
if you can.
