Biography: Robert Middleton was known for playing a lot of bad guys, but he occasionally showed a funny side as Ralph Kramden's boss in The Honeymooners sketches of "The Jackie Gleason Show", a hillbilly wrestler on "Burke's Law", and other such light fare. In reality, Middleton was known as a kindly fellow and was loved by family and friends. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was known to play practical jokes. For the time period, Middleton was a giant, especially onscreen. He stood 6' 2" at a time when most people weren't even 6', and he was very heavy. Being a rather imposing fellow, it was easy for him to land a lot of the most contemptable roles. Unlike most "bad guy" actors, we enjoy seeing Middleton and he's a very likable actor.
