Biography:
I enjoy Rick Moranis greatly in his various TV and film projects.
He first became well-known on "SCTV" playing many characters, most
popularly Bob McKenzie of the Great White North skits. This skit
was later realized into a feature film, "Strange Brew" (1983), which
was very well-received and, to this day (2008), people are waiting for
a sequel. Moranis and Dave Thomas have been wanting to make
another McKenzie brothers movie, but there's been so much red
tape. Too extensive to talk about here. Needless to say, it
hasn't been made yet.
Since "SCTV" Moranis has been doing mostly films and has done some
really great ones including: "Ghostbusters" (1984), "Little Shop
of Horrors" (1986), "Spaceballs" (1987), "Ghostbusters II" (1989),
"Honey, I Shrunk the Kids" (1989), "Parenthood" (1989), "My Blue
Heaven" (1990), "Honey, I Blew Up the Kid" (1992), "Splitting Heirs"
(1993), "The Flintstones" (1994), "Little Giants" (1994), "Big Bully"
(1996), and "Honey, We Shrunk Ourselves" (1997) among others.
Since the last "Honey" movie, his appearances have slowed a bit, and
it's been limited to voiceover work. But hopefully we'll see Rick
again in another hilarious movie. MORE COMING SOON!
