The similarities between this series and the much later
"Law &
Order" are spooky. The first half of this show concerned the
"arrest" of a suspect. That's where you see all the cop
characters. The second half of the show featured the "trial" of
the suspect. That's where you see the lawyers and judges.
Two acting legends worked in this series. Ben Gazzarra played the
lead detective in the "arrest" half. Chuck Connors (perhaps best
known for the title role in the western series "The Rifleman") played
the defense lawyer in the "trial" half.
Quinn did not play the suspect or the victim in this episode. She
was a witness. A pretty high school girl who was extremely
catty. As the story goes, a 17-year-old girl is killed. One
of her boyfriends becomes the ultimate suspect. Quinn's character
of Sue Ellen testifies against him. What's great is that you get
to see Chuck Connors character of Egan really grill Sue Ellen on the
stand.
Quinn loved doing the various crime story shows of the era, and
40-some years later this genre is still incredibly popular. She
would gladly play a part in this type of series again.

I don't know why, but these shots of Quinn looking in the mirror on the
inside of her locker door are just really, really cool. It
reminds me of something you'd see on a record cover. Just a cool
concept.
