"Beauties of the Beverly Hillbillies" Entry For This Actress!
Born: May 12, 1946 in Newark,
New Jersey, USA
Died:
Cause of Death:
Spouse #1: Sonny West (December 28, 1970-?) (2 children; Bryan b. 1972,
Alana b. 1981)
Biography:
Sometimes
credited as Judith Jordan. Judy met
husband Sonny West in early 1969 on the set
of a movie
they did together. Sonny West was a friend of Elvis Presley, part
of his troop known as "The Memphis Mafia". He was his bodyguard
(Chief of Security) and also went into acting for a time. He has
formed his own company "Westwind Productions" which tours with the
popular Moments With Elvis show made up of awesome tribute artists and
Sonny sharing his memories of rock and roll's King. Judy was
pretty much new in Hollywood at the
time (1969) and starting a career in movies and television, as she had
just
finished a three-year stint in Miami on The Jackie Gleason Show as the
original "And Away We Go" Glea Girl. She was actually the first
to say that byline as Gleason had always done it himself before.
On December 28, 1970 she and Sonny West were married. Sonny had
already been
living at Graceland (Elvis' place) since early 1960 and continued to
live there until 1976 whenever he was in Memphis. Judy lived
there with Sonny after they got married in 1970 until they moved
out. They had a son in 1972 by the name of Bryan and in 1981 a
daughter named Alana. She was also in a movie with Joi
Lansing called Bigfoot in 1970. Sonny and
Judy West (as of 2006) live in
Hendersonville, Tennessee. I was first contacted by Jim Wilson,
president of Sonny's "Westwind Productions" company, on January 30,
2006 and I greatly appreciate all of the recent information he's given
me on Judy and Sonny to share with all of you.
