Biography: He did TONS and TONS of movies, radio shows, TV shows, and stagework from 1923 to 1971. He was born to parents of Irish ancestry who were not performers. Incidentally, it's not believed that he ever played an Irish character. He did a lot of Arab, Latin, Indian, and Oriental parts amongst other roles.
