Biography:  I absolutely love the adorable voices Bernice Hansen put to her cartoon characters not only for Warner Bros. Looney Tunes/Merrie Melodies cartoons, but for Walter Lantz Studios as well.  What characters did she do?  Bernice was the voice of Petunia Pig in 3 of her 5 cartoons, Pinky Pig in both of his cartoons, the voice of the three squirrels in the classic "Robin Hood Makes Good" cartoon, Tommy Cat in legendary director Chuck Jones' first cartoon called "The Night Watchman", and was also the voice of the baby version of Andy Panda.  Some people say she provided the voice of Sniffles the Mouse in Looney Tunes/Merrie Melodies, but the credit actually goes to Gay Seabrook.  The voice certainly sounds like Bernice Hansen, though.  Before all these characters Hansen started out doing the voices for Little Kitty and Cookie.  Cookie was the girlfriend of Buddy in the Buddy cartoons, who was the second ongoing Looney Tunes character.   Buddy was created to replace Bosko, who moved to MGM Studios.  Buddy and Cookie were human.  Little Kitty was another Warner Bros. character. 

    Ms. Hansen did many other cartoon character voices which are usually typified by being cute and squeaky.  Her voice acting career in cartoons spanned only five years from 1935-1940.  Why she quit is a mystery to us cartoon fans and if she is still alive, no one seems to know for certain.  I'd like to add more information to this segment and definitely a photograph.  If you can help, please contact me!
