About The Benefit: Vernon Zmolek was a
man from Traer, Iowa who had a stroke while driving and got into an
accident. He then went into a nursing home. On April 3,
2009, while in Los Angeles, I received a phone call from my
mother. I was told a benefit was being held for Vernon Smolek on
April 18. "But what can I do?" I asked. Well, I guess it
was pretty common knowledge that I "knew people", so someone told my
Mom to ask me for autographed photos and such things from
celebrities. I said I'd do what I could, but I really didn't know
anyone would agree to it. I was surprised when the people I asked
jumped onto it so quickly, especially
in such short notice! So I'd like to thank ALL of the stars who
contributed! THANK YOU!
I, myself, was flattered when I was asked to help out. I never before thought myself that relevant to such things, but I've always wanted to be a part of benefits and other fundraisers. This was my first. I didn't know Vernon Smolek, personally, but I heard good things over the years. He was always well-liked by the town, so I thought this was a good cause. We small-town guys have to stick together.
All of the people I contacted are those whose work I truly enjoy. I couldn't ask people I didn't like. Everyone I asked is a great entertainer and I urge you to check out their work.

Ahna Capri- Ahna donated a lovely 8x10 photo of herself with Bruce Lee from the legendary martial arts epic, "Enter the Dragon".
Mark Marderosian- Mark donated an autographed Twinkle Mouse plush from his line, Angels From The Attic.
Quinn O'Hara- Quinn donated eleven autographed 8x10 photos of herself.
Paul Petersen- Paul donated two exciting 8x10 photos: One from "Houseboat" with Cary Grant and cast, the other with the cast from "The Donna Reed Show".
TJ Storm- TJ donated two great 8x10 martial arts photos of himself.
