Lori Williams
Quinn O'Hara
William Wellman, Jr.
Ahna
Capri:
This charming, statuesque blonde actress has an impressive acting
resume, but her most famous role is the femme fatale in Bruce Lee's
"Enter the Dragon".
I like Ahna! She's a lot of fun! She has such a bright,
brassy personality. And she has lots of great stories to
tell.
If Ahna Capri and Quinn O'Hara are anything alike, it's that they both
really "come alive" for the camera. They act so casual until the
camera's on, then it's SHOWTIME! They can really pose...and they
can turn it on and off in the blink of an eye. Ahna Capri was an
excellent subject to photograph. These pictures were taken in
Quinn O'Hara's backyard on April 5, 2009.

Aron
Kincaid:
The popular star of 1960s beach movies is a very likable and supremely
talented fellow. I enjoyed meeting him. He has a great
acting ability and a penchant for doing a wide variety of voices.
Most interesting is his talent for painting. Aron Kincaid, under
the name of N.N. Williams II, is a prolific artist of realistic and
caricature celebrity portraits.
He's a funny guy, but he's also very disenchanted with the current
Hollywood scene. I think rightfully so. He still did some
acting work in the 1980s, but shifted all of his acting talent into
voiceover work in the 1990s. Since the days of doing villain
Killer Croc on "Batman: The Animated Series", he has dropped out of
acting altogether and sticks to his art. He's quite excellent and
was, at the time, working on a painting of screen legend Maureen O'Hara
for a museum in Ireland. Still, it would be nice to have someone
with his acting talent in movies and television again.
These pictures were taken in Beverly Hills against a tree to capture
that creepy, "The Ghost in the Invisible Bikini" effect. The date
is April 2, 2009.

Gayle
Caldwell:
She was a close friend of mine for over four years before we met in
person! This eternally lovely and talented musician (and actress)
is a kind and gentle soul. Onstage, she is a very bold and spunky
personality. In private, she's quite shy and reclusive. A
quietly intense thinker and serious artist, Gayle puts out great,
delicate music.
These pictures were taken amongst the redwood trees of Montgomery Woods
near Ukiah on March 29, 2009.

Lori
Williams:
I'm astounded by Lori Williams! I've enjoyed her in shows for
years. For those who don't know, her work goes back in time a
bit. In these photos she looks like she's only 35! It's
incredible! She was the tall, statuesque, blonde star of the cult
classic "Faster Pussycat! Kill! Kill!".
Like the other celebrities I was fortunate to meet in California, Lori
has a great personality. She's probably the most blunt about the
shows she was in more than anyone else I talked with. Lori will
straight up tell you what was good or "hideous", but in all shows she
has an incredible love for performing. She expressed interest in
acting again, so that's something to look forward to.
These pictures were taken at a Starbuck's in Beverly Hills on April 2,
2009.

Quinn
O'Hara: Quinn and I were close friends for almost four
years before we finally met face-to-face! We even wrote a book
together! Quinn O'Hara and Gayle Caldwell were the two major
reasons I went to California. I wanted to visit my very good
friends in person. Quinn made the meetings of Ahna, Aron, Lori,
Monique, and William possible. I love her dearly and dedicate the
entire feature of California 2009 to her. She made California
feel like a second home when I desperately needed to get away for
awhile from my hectic life in Iowa.
This first set of pictures comes from a Starbuck's in Los Angeles on
the night of April 1, 2009. Quinn is so sweet and unassuming by
nature, but really "comes on" for the camera. It was great to get
her on camera and video, because she instantly turns on a radiance
that's beyond belief. She's very photogenic.
This set of pictures was taken in the late afternoon of April 5, 2009
at Quinn's home.

William
Wellman, Jr.:
It was a pleasure to meet a man as versatile in movies and television
as William Wellman, Jr. Besides acting, he also had a great deal
to do with the production of his early shows. He started acting
in the late 1950s and has been going strong ever since. You've
got to respect that! But even he takes a potshot at his acting
performances of the late 1950s through 1960s. "I'm surprised I've
kept working all these years!" he laughs. Since the 60s his
acting has become much more polished and he's been in tons of popular
projects.
These pictures were taken at a Starbuck's in Los Angeles on April 3,
2009.
